Aviation Safety Management Systems (ASMS)

November 2005, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) amended Annex 14, Volume I (Airport Design and Operations) to require member States to have certificated international airports establish an ASMS. The FAA has adopted these requirements and will be mandatory by 2010. Aviation operations and management team managers and users must have the precise understanding and knowledge of all impacts when a change is initiated to processes or procedures or to the facilities or airspace where airports and aircraft operations are performed. CALNET, Inc. brings a unique capability for our aviation customers to assure all changes to the aviation system are formally identified and analyzed well in advance before implementation occurs. Our highly trained aviation staff understand the requirements for an aviation safety management system. Each of our aviation ASMS have the knowledge, skills and abilities to analyze a change, write a technical report on the change, develop an understanding of what needs to be accomplished and then develops a facilitation plan. Safety is paramount considering the expected growth of aviation. CALNET, Inc. is ready to assist airports to develop and facilitate their ASMS.
