Measurement and Signature Intelligence (MASINT) is the ability to obtain scientific and technical intelligence such as the following: metric, angle, spatial, wavelength, time dependence, modulation, plasma, and hydromagnetic data derived from specific collectors for the purpose of identifying any distinctive features associated with a source, emitter, or sender and to facilitate subsequent identification or measurement of that source.
