Software AG and CALNET Announce Alliance for Business-to-Business
and Enteprise-Based XML Solutions
January
3, 2002
RESTON,
VA and VIENNA, VA January 03, 2002Software AG,
Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Software AG, Europes largest
systems software provider in Europe and CALNET, Inc., a leading
Information Technology and Telecom consulting firm, today announced
an alliance to deliver comprehensive business-to-business and
enterprise solutions.
CALNETs enablement practice provides companies with advanced
IT solutions that are tailored to their specific needs. Under
the terms of the alliance, CALNETs enablement practice
will provide joint customers with XML business frameworks based
on Software AGs Tamino XML Server and EntireX®
TBI Server products to enable rapid and affordable solutions
for high-volume financial transactions, enterprise application
integration and document management. Both companies bring significant
expertise in the integration of legacy and distributed computing
applications.
Through the use of XML-ready business frameworks, customers
will derive the benefit of applied experience for the rapid
architecture and enablement of robust back-end XML and connectivity
solutions. For example, by using a Software AG/CALNET XML framework,
a customer could decrease the time it takes to implement a billing
reconciliation system from a matter of months to a matter of
weeks reducing costs associated with shipping, customer
service and accounting, while increasing customer satisfaction
and impacting accounts receivable collections.
Together
with CALNET, Software AG is committed to providing companies
with advanced technology solutions that will help them achieve
business agility, said Gary Voight, President and CEO,
Software AG, Inc. Using XML-ready business frameworks
based on the Tamino and EntireX products, companies are able
to leverage their technology to support growth, run more efficiently
and maximize their existing return on investment.
Our
relationship with Software AG will allow for the application
of advanced technologies through XML business frameworks to
deliver affordable and tangible results for our customers,
said Rolin Hua, Senior Vice President of CALNET. CALNET
engineers are hard at work, creating innovative ways to address
financial, public sector, telecom, manufacturing and healthcare
market requirements for financial, customer service and content
solutions. We feel confident that Software AGs global
leadership in XML native server technologies will prove of significant
value to our customers.
