Systems Engineers Senior AV Engineer Job Description Provide AV system design engineering and project management for new and existing construction locations using ClearOne and other product offerings. Test and verify room acoustics and AV system performance, pre and post installation. Identify, isolate and resolve system issues remotely or on-site and provide root cause problem resolution. Provide system documentation to include system schematics, Visio/AutoCAD drawings and user documentation. Provide new AV product research and introduce innovative engineering solutions for implementation into the Qualcomm environment. Proven AV experience in a corporate setting supporting executive level troubleshooting and problem resolution. Job Requirements Current ICIA CTS-D certification or ability to achieve within 12 months of hire, or equivalent certification or experience. Syn-Aud-Con multiple courses graduate. Ability to successfully complete ClearOne FSE Training within 3 months of hire. Ability to correctly use electronic test equipment including (but not limited to) VOM multimeters, oscilloscopes, audio signal generators, etc. Prior experience with SPL meters and RTA equipment. The ability to use and interpret certain technical software packages including CAD-based programs (AutoCad, Visio) Smaart SIA, G-Ware, AP-Ware and others. Broadcast engineering, live-sound engineering or similar background preferred. Must be “hands-on” and very self-motivated and self-directed. Additional Skills Understanding of audio and video operation and integration of AV control systems. Understanding of internal TV infrastructure, channel modulation RF distribution. Ability to provide Tier 3 troubleshooting and recommendations on resolutions. Proficient understanding of unicast/multicast streaming technologies, Satellite DSS dish Direct TV, 4DTV, KU/C band and digital receivers a plus. The ability to use laptop computers and associated software such as MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint and others.
