Test Engineers QTP Test Engineer Job Description Help provide testing for state-of-the-art, Enterprise Applications and other external applications into a complex enterprise environment to provide a high degree of availability and reliability. Principal duties involve: The QTP Test Engineer will be responsible for conducting QA functional testing in Mercury Quick Test Professional and logging defects and discrepancies in Test Director. The Quick Test Pro Test Engineer will provide follow-up on status of issues and actions plans and report findings and test results, publish weekly status reports, and escalate problems to senior management. Job Requirements Technical Skill Requirements: Skills with the following software, operating systems, environments and products: QTP, TestDirector, WinRunner, Web infrastructure, Unix, J2EE / Java, and Oracle 11i. Support & monitor build activity. Knowledgeable of selection and justification of analysis and testing tools. Able to apply testing in an Oracle 11i e-business suite data model environment. Knowledgeable of N-tier J2EE technology. Develops feature / functionality test scenarios. Develops feature / functionality test scripts. Executes feature / functionality test scenarios and test scripts. Logs Test Discrepancies. Responsible for facilitating all integration testing and regression tests when electronic test scripts are used. Report findings and test results of all potential defects. Report and escalate problems and issues related to test execution. Provide follow-up on the status of issues and action plans. Good understanding of quality assurance testing methodology relative to the Software Development Lifecycle. Desirable Certifications QuickTestPro Certification, TestDirector Certification and WinRunner Certification. Education: 4-8 years directly applicable experience with the intelligence community and a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
