Manufacturing Test Engineer

Job Description

Develop next generation manufacturing test strategies and processes for high speed networking, optical and telecom products in conjunction with Design and Software Engineering. Drive test processes and development back to the supplier in support of outsourcing goals. Write test plans, write automated scripts, generate test reports. Write test procedures that can be seamlessly implemented into the supply base. Generate test fixture/software documentation that enables the supply base to build and maintain the test solution per forecast and ECO activity. 

Job Requirements

Will be part of the TEST team, including: updating tests for new  feature releases. Implementing new testers (new boards). Adding new boards to existing testers. Implementing additional tests to cover observed field problems. Validating duplicate testers. Validating duplicate ICT fixtures. Additional ICT fixtures for new boards. Enhancements to download fixtures. Enhancements to cabinet testers for new cabinets & options. Training off-shore test technicians. Supporting additional testers & technicians. 

Qualifications

B.S. Electrical or Software Engineer, M.S. preferred.3 to 5 years Test Engineering Experience. 2 years of Supervisory or Management Experience preferred. Direct experience with Process Test Techniques: ICT, X-Ray, MDA, Flying Probe, AOI. JTAG, Vector Pattern Generation as well as Vectorless techniques (Testjet, Opens Express). Direct experience with Functional Test Development: Embedded diagnostics in Assembly and C++. IEE488 and VXI instrumentation. Network test equipment. Experience in Analog and Digital circuit design and development. Experience with Optical design (DWDM and Fiber Optics). Experience with ESS, HASS, HASSA or other Thermo Life Test methodology. Experience with Telecommunications Specifications, (Telecordia). Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Working Knowledge of C/C++, Unix, and various scripting languages a plus. Experience with contract manufacturing testing is a plus.
