Systems Engineer-Weapons Control Systems
Job
Description
Senior
systems engineer to serve as the lead systems engineer on
the government team for a major weapons and control system.
Position offers opportunity to perform design analysis and
problem solving through every step of the system development
life cycle.
Will
work in a dynamic environment performing systems engineering,
design, analysis, assessment, requirements analysis, and
risk assessment. Will coordinate with representatives from
various organizations, including the government sponsor,
the contractor, and other interfacing agencies. Will make
independent assessments of core technical issues facing
the Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control System.
Requires
on-site work at sponsor location in Lexington Park, MD.
Job
Requirements
·
BS degree or equivalent in engineering, computer science,
mathematics or related field.
·
Five years technical experience in systems engineering/design
with direct experience in naval weapons systems, weapons
control systems, or command and control systems.
·
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
·
Demonstrated leadership skills.
·
Willingness to take a leadership role in problem review
and analysis, while working as a team member and exchanging
information with other members of a multi-disciplinary team.
Preferred,
but not required:
MS
degree or equivalent in engineering, computer science, mathematics
or related technical field. At least seven years engineering
experience with strong software systems emphasis. Direct
experience with the Tomahawk Weapons System, especially
the Weapons Control segment.
