DBA/Data Modeler with Active Secret / Top Secret clearance
Job Description
We are looking for outstanding candidates to work on a Treasury contract. This position requires U.S.
Citizenship along with a Active DOD Secret clearance or higher.
Must have the experience to participate in the development of a data warehouse data management strategy.
Must have experience with large volume databases (Terabyte), and developing data performance and data management processes. Must be able to
participate/lead workshops with customers to obtain data requirements and data access requirements. Must perform data assessments for a client's information system, database environment, and data
structures. Must also in support of this capability determine the client's ability to meet their current and future
business need, vision, and objectives. Must have experience developing third normal form relation data modes
and multidimensional conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Must have experience developing a data
dictionary. Must possess the ability to create data components, i.e., the physical database components in implementing the physical design, e.g., rules,
roles, triggers, keys, stored procedures, etc.
Job Requirements
Must possess the ability to create the physical database design, to develop the data security strategy/approach, to perform capacity planning, to develop the data load strategy, to develop the data backup strategy, and the data recovery method. Must possess the ability to create the database framework and allocate the file systems for the initial database/table space. Must be able to set the file permissions, and to construct the database table scripts. Must possess the ability to help end-users of the information system locate and access data to enable business decisions. Must possess the ability to manage data repositories and to create, maintain, and manage the data dictionary, the data model, in addition to the underlying subject data areas including the handling of interfaces, the consolidation of overlaps within the data, and resolving data definition conflicts.
Possess ability to promote consistent data sharing at both the system and the enterprise level. Must possess the ability to map the source data to the logical data elements during creation of the conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Possess the ability to develop policies, procedures, and standards in order to promote consistency of systems development entities in the data repository. Must possess the ability to perform problem identification, analysis and resolution related to database specific issues. Must possess the capability to research application problems, determine root cause, and develop solutions.
Technical Skill Requirements: Skills with the following software, operating systems and products: Sun Solaris Unix 8.0. Oracle 8/9i. NCR Teradata. Embarcardero DBArtisan or Equivalent DB management tools. Desirable Certifications:
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP DBA)
