Application Software Deployment Engineer

Job Description

Help provide a state-of-the-art, Enterprise Application Integration Framework that seamlessly integrates multiple business partners and other external applications into a complex enterprise environment and provides a high degree of availability and reliability. Periodic overtime may be required. Regular time plus Overtime is not to exceed an average professional work rate of 10 hours per day, 5 days per week. The positions require the following experience and skill set: Principal duties involve: Monitor, install, integrate, troubleshoot, resolve conflicts, and optimize custom software application products on Enterprise distributed infrastructure system with the primary application servers (WebLogic and WebSphere).

Job Requirements

Skills with the following software, operating systems and products: Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Exposure to telecom/ISP quality networking and an understanding of TCP load balancing and session management preferred. No single points of failure. Extended skills are desired for troubleshooting and performance tuning the application and environment. Load testing software applications using Mercury scripts running on a CAW/WebReflector Avalanche test appliance is expected. Knowledge in system certification as needed. Must have excellent skills with the following software: J2EE, LDAP, SunOS/Solaris 2.8, BEA WebLogic 8.X or WebSphere v5.X, iPlanet Web Server v4.X and iPlanet Directory Server v5.X.

Desirable Certification

Sun Certified Enterprise, Architect for J2EE Technology. WebLogic Architect/Developer and WebSphere Architect/Developer. Acceptance Criteria: Candidates must pass a background investigation, drug test, credit check and finger print investigation by the Federal Reserve System.

Candidates must be US or Canadian (with TN visa) Citizens or a Permanent Resident (possess a valid U.S. Immigration Service Work Permit “Green Card”). No other INS status is acceptable.

Education: 5-10 years directly applicable experience with the intelligence community and a Bachelor's degree in a related field.  An additional 4 years of experience and a H.S. diploma may be substituted for a degree.
